Why did my doctor order an Octreoscan? An Octreoscan is a Nuclear Medicine Procedure designed to find tumors. A doctor usually orders this test if he or she suspects a carcinoid type of tumor. This decision is based on blood work or pathology reports from a previous biopsy or surgery. |
