Mercy Medical Center Appoints
Mel Granick Director of Public Relations

- Continuing the ongoing strengthening of the hospital’s leadership
team, veteran healthcare communications specialist Mel Granick
has joined Mercy Medical Center as Director of Public Relations.
Mr. Granick, who will be responsible for media relations, marketing
communications and advertising, comes to Mercy from Chamberlain
Communications, a Manhattan public relations agency devoted
exclusively to health care, where he was Senior Vice President
for Media Services.
A long-time resident of Syosset, Mr. Granick previously was
Director of Public Affairs at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount
Sinai School of Medicine, Senior Vice President for Health Media
Strategy at Edelman public relations, and a medical reporter
for WCBS Newsradio880.
Mercy Medical Center is a 387-bed, not-for-profit medical center
