Mercy Medical Center Ranked Among Best Hospitals In New York State
U.S. News & World Report Rankings Cite High Performance In Orthopedics
(July 18, 2012 - RockvilleCentre, NY) - In the latest recognition of the safety and quality of the care provided to its patients, Mercy Medical Center has been ranked among the top 20 percent of hospitals in New York State in the annual ratings of Best Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report.
The prestigious assessment placed Mercy 38th among the more than 200 hospitals in New York, recognized Mercy as a "high performing" hospital in orthopedics, and noted that Mercy "scored high in patient safety."

A member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, Mercy is a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence designated by the American College of Radiology, and a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence® designated by the American Society For Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Mercy also is the recipient of an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and a Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association.
And, in recognition of the value it places on superior nursing care, Mercy has received Pathway to Excellence® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
