Volunteers Needed For Mercy Medical Center Information Desk And Thrift Shop
(April 13, 2012 - RockvilleCentre, NY) - Mercy Medical Center is offering opportunities for mature adults who have a passion for helping others, to assist patients, their families and visitors as volunteers at the hospital's main lobby Information Desk, and as associates at the nearby Mercy Thrift Shop.
Volunteer opportunities at the Information Desk are available at various days and times throughout the week. The Thrift Shop, located at 369 Peninsula Boulevard in Hempstead, is seeking assistance at various times during its Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. business hours.
The Thrift Shop is operated by the Mercy's Council of Leagues, one of the outstanding hospital auxiliary organizations in New York State, raising funds to support capital improvement projects throughout the hospital.
No prior experience is required. Participants will receive necessary training.
