Mercy Medical Center Free Presentation on Diabetes In Hempstead

(March , 2012 - RockvilleCentre, NY) - In conjunction with the American Diabetes Association's annual nationwide Alert! Day®, Mercy Medical Center invites the community to a free lecture on "Healthy Eating for Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes" at the Hempstead Economic Opportunity Commission on Tuesday, March 27 at 12:30 p.m.

Presented in cooperation with the Rockville Centre Lions Club and the EOC/Hempstead Community Action Program, the 90-minute presentation will be given by Marie Fasano Ruggles, a Mercy nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator.

The Community Action Program located at 134 Jackson Street in Hempstead.

Light refreshments will be served, and although there is no charge for attending the presentation, advance registration is suggested.
