Podiatry

The Department of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Mercy Medical Center includes treatment of all surgical and medical problems related to the foot and the anatomical structures supporting the function of the foot.

Areas of expertise are diabetic foot care and wound care management including limb salvage, trauma to the foot, reconstructive foot surgery, sports medicine, and bio-mechanical problems.

Outpatient Podiatry Service

Mercy provides an ambulatory podiatry service to provide convenient access to expert care for a full range of foot and ankle conditions.

Under the direction of Chief of Podiatry, Dr. Cary M. Golub, practitioners in the outpatient podiatry service provide diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of conditions, including:

• Corns
• Calluses
• Bunions
• Sprains and Minor Injuries
• Geriatric and Diabetic Foot Care
• Ulcers and Infections
• All Aspects of Foot Surgery

Ambulatory podiatry services are available Monday and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Most of the program's services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private health insurance plans.
