Dr. Rajesh Kakani Named Chief Of Head And Neck Surgery At Mercy Medical Center
(October 28, 2009 – Rockville Centre, NY) – Rajesh S. Kakani, MD, FACS has been appointed Chief of Head and Neck Surgery at Mercy Medical Center.
Dr. Kakani, who resides in Jericho, has been a member of the Medical Staff at Mercy for nine years, practices in Garden City, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
A Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Kakani earned his medical degree at MGM Medical College in India at the top of his graduating class. He did residency training in Otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at top institutions in India, then at State University of New York at Stony Brook, and fellowship training in Otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Kakani has authored more than a dozen articles in scientific journals, and he has lectured on numerous topics at professional conferences in the United States, Canada and India.
