Free Presentation on Safety and Well Being For Seniors on October 5th
(August 27, 2009 – Rockville Centre, NY) – Mercy Medical Center will present a free lecture on "Safety and Well Being For Seniors" on Monday, October 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the Merrick Library, located at 2279 Merrick Avenue in Merrick.
The session will discuss safety around the house, with special emphasis on avoiding falls, along with information about medication storage and safety, and severe weather emergency preparedness.
It will be presented by Andrew Moreno, a Mercy electrocardiogram technician who is a long-time member and former chief of the Bellmore Merrick Emergency Medical Service and holds multiple certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician and instructor.
There is no charge for attending and advance registration is NOT required.
